IGU Airport to Brazil Falls to Puerto Iguazu Hotel – Without the Luggage & Border Hassle

We offer the smartest way to combine your arrival flight with a visit to the Brazil side of the falls, before crossing the international border into Argentina.

Doing this route on your own creates two massive problems: what to do with your luggage while you hike the trails, and how to find reliable transport to cross the border into Puerto Iguazu after you are finished at the park.

As the border crossing experts in the area, the Green Toad, in association with Iguazu Falls Travel, offers a simple, seamless solution. Your driver meets you at the airport, secures your bags in the vehicle while you explore the Brazil side, and then fast-tracks you across the border to your hotel in Argentina.

Skip the border-traffic:

1 – 4 People – Unique Two-Car Border System
5 – 14 People – Express Tourist-Van Border Corridor

Our private express service is designed to get you from the airport, to the park, and across the border quickly, safely, and with zero hassle.

Luggage Storage & Park Visit

Because this is a private transfer, your luggage stays safely locked inside the vehicle while you visit the Iguazu National Park (Brazil side). You do not have to worry about finding lockers or hauling bags around the park.

Most people spend 2.5 — 4 hours exploring the Brazil side of the falls. You will agree on a meeting time with your driver before you enter the park for the onward journey to Argentina.

If you are going to visit the bird park, take the boat ride, or helicopter flight, let your driver know and they will note this when helping you decide on a meeting time.

The Border Crossing to Argentina

After you finish at the park, your driver will be waiting with your luggage to take you across the international border into Puerto Iguazu, Argentina. Our unique border system helps you skip the heavy traffic queues at immigration so you reach your hotel faster.

Our Border Process

Our Border Process

The border is where most people lose time.

Trying to find a taxi at the park exit that is legally allowed to cross into Argentina with your luggage is stressful and expensive. Standard transfers get stuck in the same long vehicle queues as everyone else.

That is why travelers book this transfer — it solves the luggage problem and shortens your time at the border.

Why Our Border Crossing Is Different

This is the reason people choose Green Toad over other companies.

For groups of 01 – 04 people (Private Car Service)

At the Brazilian immigration your driver will take you to the office to stamp your passport, and then you return to the same car to drive a few kilometers to the Argentina immigration.

At the Argentina immigration we use a two-driver system with 2 cars and 2 drivers to make the crossing faster. On busy days, the traffic line at Argentine immigration can take hours. Most vehicles have no choice but to sit and wait.

With us, your first driver takes you directly to the door of Argentine immigration. Before you enter the building, the driver points out your second driver. You go inside, process your passport, and walk out the other side. Your next driver is already there waiting to greet you and take you straight to your hotel in Puerto Iguazu. On busy days everyone else waits in traffic. You do not.

For groups of 05 – 14 people (Private Van Service)

At Brazilian immigration, your driver will take you into the office to have your passport stamped; afterwards you’ll return to the same van and drive a few kilometers to the Argentine immigration office.

Our vans use dedicated tourism lanes at the Argentina border—reserved for licensed tour operators. These adjacent lanes are staffed and organized to handle group documents in a single coordinated stop, moving much faster than private travelers who remain in the general queue.

Timing Your Visit

  • This is a private transfer service, meaning the start time is dictated entirely by your flight arrival.
  • If your flight arrives before 02:30pm, you still have time to visit the Brazil falls before the park closes at 18:00.
  • When you arrive at the park entrance, you discuss with the driver the time you would like to meet again for your onward transfer to Argentina.

Timing Guide

  • You will usually meet your driver within 45 minutes of your domestic flight landing — after you collect your luggage and enter the arrivals lobby.
  • The drive from the airport to the entrance of the Brazil side of the falls takes less than 15 minutes.
  • Most people spend 2.5–3 hours inside the park visiting the falls. If you plan to visit the Bird Park near the entrance, add about 1.5 hours; likewise add about 1.5 hours for the boat trip inside the park. The helicopter ride itself lasts only 10 minutes, but waiting time depends on how many people are ahead of you at the helicopter office — flight times cannot be pre-booked.
  • We average 1 hour to get you from the entrance of the Brazil falls, to your hotel in Puerto Iguazu,
  • If you’re staying at Gran Melia Hotel, add roughly 25 minutes of extra drive time.

The 3 Biggest Border Traps

Which We Help You Avoid!

Optional Activities (Brazil Side)

If you arrive early in the day, you may have time to add an extra activity on the Brazil side.

The Bird Park (Parque das Aves)
This is the most popular add-on activity because its entrance is located just a short walk across the street from the National Park Visitor Center. It is a world-class sanctuary where you can walk through massive immersive aviaries surrounded by rescued toucans, macaws, and flamingos. Most visitors spend about 1.5 to 2 hours here, making it an easy addition before or after seeing the falls.

Macuco Safari Boat Ride
This is the Brazilian equivalent of the boat ride under the falls. It starts with a jungle jeep ride and ends with a speedboat taking you directly into the mist of the waterfalls. Prepare to get completely soaked! You can purchase tickets for this at the park entrance.

Helicopter Flights
The helipad is located right outside the entrance to the bird park, adjacent to the national park entrance. They offer 10-minute scenic flights over the falls.

Note: If you plan to do these activities, please inform your driver so they know to expect you later for the border crossing.
